Coco Martin is one of the popular and respected actor/director of this generation. In fact, he is now directing the ultimate hit primetime series in television "Ang Probinsyano".
Before he reached the stardom with around 80 awards and recognitions and over 30 nominations from the prestigious award-giving, he was an indie actor.

It's no secret to his fans that he came from the family of jeepney drivers and that honesty and humble beginning give more love to Coco Martin from his fans.
His grandfather made a living driving a jeepney to provide for his family while his father taught Coco to drive a four-wheeled vehicle.
Growing up, Coco would often see his father taking good care of their jeepney, and this parental care of the vehicle rubbed off on Coco who now also loves taking good care of his own vehicles.
"Using high-quality oil is critical when driving and maintaining a jeepney", Coco Martin's father once said as he remember that his father keep telling him that the engine oil is the lifeblood of any vehicle.
Coco Martin reveals that his father was using the Shell Rimula for their jeepneys. He recall that his father swearing by Shell Rimula because it gives their diesel engine a cleaner and crispier engine sound.
