This time, I want to teach on how to rename the file extension of your files. It's very easy but I took it in a minutes to get the correct procedure. And now, I just want to share what I learned.
Recently, I bought a Nokia C3. And it has two games on the phone, I need to find a game that compatible to the phone. So, I searched a lot of games that compatible to Nokia C3. So, I downloaded it all but I was quite surprise that I can't play and I found out the file was on .zip file. So, I searched which of the file extension suit to for games. So, I found it that it must me a .jar file extension.
But I don't know to change the file extension, so I google it again and finally found the best answer at forum. Thanks to mobile9 Forum.
Here's the best answer and really work for me.
1 - open any folder
2 - click on tools > folder options
3 - select the "view" tab
4 - make sure that "hide extensions for known file types" is de-selected.
5 - rename your file to "filename".(extension)
Another method:
1. Start
2. Select Control Panel
3. Click Appearance and Personalization
4. Click Folder Options
5. Under View tab, deselect the"hide extensions for known file types"
6.Click Apply
7. You can now change the extension
Sample:
Sim3_jar.zip change to Sim3.jar
but you cant transfer .jar files to the phone.
